Amazing Math Powers Conference Overview
Amazing Math Powers is a comprehensive Educational Conference, that has provided support to teachers in the development of their Mathematics and Literacy Teaching Practices and Social/Emotional Well-being.
The workshop content is primarily built around a world class mathematics program, Prime Mathematics, resulting in an approach to teaching and learning mathematics that works!
Our aim is to equip especially primary school teachers with the exceptional Singaporean Prime approach to teaching mathematics, thereby fostering a generation of students armed with exceptional problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
Over the past several years, since the initial staging in 2017, Amazing Math Powers has attracted thousands of diverse Educators across Jamaica and the Caribbean.
The Prime Mathematics program has been commissioned by the Ministry of Education, Jamaica and is used in all Primary schools.
Amazing Math Powers is hosted by the Book Merchant Limited and Scholastic in partnership with the Shortwood Teachers’ College and the Jamaica Teaching Council.
